Our Story

Meet Sophie and Annabelle, our 8-year-old daughters. These two souls brought us together in a prenatal yoga class in the summer of 2000. Our two families have been joined at the hip ever since.

With pounds of beautiful fabric bursting from our closets, and dozens of unfinished projects, we had to stop the madness! We promised each other we would use what we had before we would buy one more yard of fabric.

We wanted to design something we had not seen before; something with a little flair, something that might spread some good vibes. With our kids crawling at our feet we started cutting, sewing and brainstorming. After a few fabric fiestas at Ali’s house, we came up with a fun way of using our collection.

We mixed and matched our funky fabric, stitching strips together. We started hand-cutting shapes out of our collages and appliquéing the patches to some great looking tees. And in the end we created some cool looking, one-of-a-kind clothing for women, kids and babes.

So now the wave is catching. People dig our designs and we sewed our way through the piles of fabric. But the fun continues as we search for unique fabric to create our collages – from the best new textile designers to vintage quilts and scrap fabric.
